The safety valve and the vacuum-breaker (Heliotek’s exclusivity) is a fundamental accessory to the facilities of pressurized sun light systems. Its function is to hinder that the inner pressure surpasses the maximum limit (safety) and the minimum (vacuum-breaker) of the reservoir, decreasing the risk of leaking due to the pressure excess or the implosion by vacuum.

The safety valve and the vacuum-breaker shall be installed in the reservoir’s consumption pipe of hot water, directing the output of the valve for one to the following options:
1– Drain
2– Watertank
3– Roof

Important: The utilization of the safety valve and the vacuum-breaker do not grant the reservoir to be immune of pressure variations, it is fundamental the correct sizing of the pressurizer and the gas support system (when exists) to avoid damages. All installations shall follow the NBR 7198 – Project and execution of building facilities for hot water.
